I have cysts on my ovaries and I take this for my extreme pain when I am on my menstrual cycle…I am just wondering if its safe to take more than 50 mg within four hrs. I took one about an hr ago and it still hurts.

Take Ultram exactly as it was prescribed for you. Do not take it in larger doses or for longer than recommended by your doctor. Do not take more than 300 milligrams of Ultram in one day.
So, in other words you can take up to 6 of your 50 mg pills per day (24 hr period) safely, but myself I probably would not take more than 2 at one time. If the medication is not working for you I would the doctor and tell him/her that it is not working for you and you need something else that will help you.
